Rev. Susan Wyllie

Unity Church of Peace minister, the Rev. Susan Wyllie, feels honored and
especially blessed to be involved with Unity Church of Peace in Port
Charlotte, Florida.
Rev. Wyllie began attending the small Unity Church of Peace soon after she
moved to the Port Charlotte area in the late 1980’s. She became a member of
the church in 1989 and was offered the position of Sunday school teacher and
youth director which afforded the great joy of exploring Unity principles
with young people, including her two daughters, Melissa and Nicole.
In 1992, Rev. Wyllie began what was to become a life changing spiritual
quest when she made the first of many trips to Unity Village in Lee’s
Summit, MO, to participate in Unity’s Continuing Education Program receiving
her Licensed Teacher status in 1998.
In 2000, Rev. Wyllie enrolled in All Faith’s Seminary International, and was
ordained as an Interfaith minister in New York City, August 11, 2001.
In 2001, Wyllie was asked by the congregation and Board of Trustees to be
the church’s Spiritual Leader.
In 2002, Rev. Wyllie applied for and received Unity’s Bachelor Equivalency
approval and in 2005 was accepted into Unity’s four year Ministerial Field
Licensing program. She became a licensed Unity minister in 2006.
Susan says, “I am blessed by the experience of serving as minister to such a
wonderfully wise and spiritually mature Unity Community and by the
continuing process of the Field Licensing Ministerial Program. Only one more
year to ordination!
