Tracey Hynes, Office Assistant
Tracey moved to Port Charlotte from the Boston area in 2016 after retiring from her 30-year career as a general manager in the aerospace industry. Having studied metaphysics since the late 1970’s, Tracey found Unity after arriving in Florida. She began working for Unity Church of Peace in 2017 and loves this community and teachings and considers UCOP her spiritual home. Tracey feels grateful and blessed to have found such a wonderful and welcoming family of likeminded souls.
Cindy Morrell, Bookkeeper
Cindy came to Unity Church of Peace in 2017. Soon after joining the “church family” she became the church bookkeeper. She has been married to husband, Richard, for 50 years and they have two children and five grandchildren. Richard is a retired US Marine and the family enjoyed living many places across the United States, especially Hawaii, where Cindy earned a degree in Finance from the University of Hawaii. Cindy retired after 24 years as Finance Officer for Potomac Senior High School in Dumfries, VA. The couple retired to Punta Gorda in 2011.
Kara Lynn Clow, Youth and Family Director
Kara has 15 years of teaching experience from preschool to 5th grade. She served in the Marine Corps for 5 years as an aviation electrician, EMT, and CPR instructor where she used her skills to help with casuality evacuations in Iraq. Kara joined us a week after we reopened for in-person services in July of 2021, and became a member in October of 2021. She is a reiki master and shamanic practitioner. She has believed in Unity’s teachings for a long time, but didn’t know of a place locally that aligned with her beliefs, until a friend directed her to UCOP. She is excited to rebuild our Youth program and help guide children and families on their spiritual path. Kara has two boys ages 8 and 15.
