Every day we are faced with so many choices about how we’re going to perceive what is unfolding in our lives. Only we have control over how we see everything that life brings us in order that we may grow in consciousness. We choose moment by moment if we’re going to stay in the flow of life, or if we are going to resist or fight back. This month of April our theme is I AM Blessed. So this Sunday, I want to talk with you about how if we move into a place of acceptance, we are so much more able to remain in the natural flow of life and therefore experience the blessings that will come to us.
This fifth Sunday of Lent we will look at how Jesus modeled the lifestyle choice simply by accepting his human reality. He knew exactly what his purpose was and what he was up against too. But he chose to accept the circumstances and use the experience to teach and bless others.
May we understand the teaching Eric Butterworth gives using his book, In the Flow of Life, when he suggests no matter what shows up, we simply affirm, “I accept the reality of this situation, but not it’s permanence!” Only the good is real and lasting. You have a choice to suffer or thrive by moving into acceptance and seeing all as a type of blessing in your life. I look forward to being with you, whether in the sanctuary or on Zoom, because it’s always better when you’re with us.
Much love,
Rev. Donna
