Lighten Your Load

We all carry invisible loads—old beliefs, judgments, regrets, and fears that weigh down our hearts and cloud our awareness of the Divine. The good news is that we were never meant to carry these burdens. In truth, we are spiritual beings, created in the image and likeness of God—whole, free, and radiant with light.

Jesus reminds us in Matthew 11:28–30, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest… For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” These words invite us to return to the consciousness of the Christ within—the place where peace, strength, and clarity are always available.

In Unity, we understand that we lighten our load not by struggling or striving, but by awakening. We release old beliefs that no longer serve us—the ideas of lack, limitation, or unworthiness—and replace them with Truth: that we are expressions of divine life and love. Every time we forgive, affirm our oneness with God, or practice gratitude, we lay down another piece of the unnecessary baggage we’ve carried.

This Sunday, we’ll explore how to travel more lightly through life—trusting divine order, reclaiming our divine identity, and allowing Spirit to lift us into freedom and joy. As we let go, we rise.

Come join us as we remember together: the lighter we travel, the brighter we shine. We love having you with us whether in person or on Zoom, because it’s always better when you’re here!

Many Blessings,

Rev Donna
