Can you believe it’s already May? And with the new month, we will focus on a new
theme, “Prosperity in the Flow,” a new Power, “The Power of Power (Dominion),” and a
new affirmation, “I live in the flow of divine abundance. God is my unfailing source.” The
affirmation reminds me of the gold coins one of our members shared with the
congregation. On one side is printed, “GIMS” meaning “God is my source.” The other
side bears the letters, “GIOS,” meaning “God is our source.” And in tiny print on both
sides are the words, “Believe and receive.”
In his book, “Spiritual Economics,” Eric Butterworth tells us that the most important
asset in life is not physical things or cash. It is the awareness of our own control of our
inner world of thoughts and emotions. When we can control how we think and feel about
our everyday experiences within and all around us, we will no longer be buffeted by the
capriciousness of politics, finances, health or relationships.
We may think we are always in control of our thoughts and beliefs. The trick is to notice
how we feel about any given situation or condition. If our inner emotions are not uplifting
and life-affirming, we may want to question the incessant internal conversation we run in
our minds. Fortunately, one of the attributes of the Power of Power is our ability to
choose our thoughts, ideas, beliefs and emotions.
Join us this Sunday, either in-person or on Zoom, as we consider the words we speak
out loud and how they might shape our experience. By choosing more affirmative words
with passion, like “God is my source!”, we might just create a little “magic” in our lives!
Believe and receive!
Blessing you abundantly,
Rev. Eileen
