Love One Another

Love One Another

Quote: It's one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself, to forgive. Forgive everybody. Maya Angelou

Dear Friends,
As we begin the month of September, I’m noticing a distinct change in the air. Students of all ages are back in schools, ready to absorb new information they haven’t been aware of before. The air temperature has dropped into the brisk lower 90’s. And the afternoon rain showers are a tad more assertive! Just yesterday, I noticed what looked like a lap pool in our front yard that almost mirrored the one on the lanai. (It has since returned to water table below ground…)

Noticing these little changes reminds me that life is ever flowing. We are ever growing. Nothing in our physical world remains exactly the same, no matter our desire for it to stay unchanged. Only God is unchangeable.

The Unity theme for September is “Forgive.” Wisdom teachers from all the ages tell us that forgiveness isn’t for the other person’s benefit. It is solely for our own health, peace of mind and spiritual growth. Dr. H. Emelie Cady reminds us in her book, “Lessons in Truth” that to forgive is to give for—to give some actual, definite good in return for evil given.
Join us this Sunday as we explore various ways in which we can expand our spiritual growth by giving an actual, definite good, and to “Love One Another,” no matter what!

Bless you all,
Rev. Eileen
