Our theme during the month of April is, “The Flow of Renewal, focusing on the Power of Life. In “The Revealing Word,” Unity’s co-founder, Charles Fillmore tells us that, in the phenomenal world, life is the energy that propels all forms to action. It’s the power that heals, energizes, vitalizes and enlivens us. We don’t have to tell our physical bodies to heal an injury or illness. We just focus on the Power of Life within us, and Life does the work.
The Rev. Dr.’s Bil and Cher Holton call Life the “Sustainer” because we not only use it as a source of renewal, wholeness and vibrant energy, this Power sustains health and wholeness, “breathing life into” our work, and in our pursuit to live in harmony with our soul’s path.
Last Saturday, Monk San from the Blue Lotus Meditation Center led his monthly meditation and discussion at Unity Church of Peace. He talked about writing a “prescription” for one of his patients, which included these words – “May I be happy. May I be content. May I live in peace.” The “prescription” said to say these words five times, twice a day. The result was so successful, the patient no longer needed chemical intervention to calm their emotions and spinning thoughts. Peace prevailed in the patient’s mind and heart.
Using those thirteen words as a mantra, the patient unknowingly invoked the Power of Life to heal the mind and emotions, and to energize and vitalize the experience of life in a positive way. Join us this Sunday, either online or in person, as we explore this wonderful Power of Life so that we can live our lives in peace.
Blessing you abundantly,
Rev. Eileen
