As we continue with our April theme, “The Flow of Renewal, focusing on the Power of Life, I am reminded of a Scripture verse in Romans 8:9, “But you are not in the flesh; you are in the Spirit, since the Spirit of God dwells in you.” I love this reminder that the Spirit of God dwells in each of us. Our spiritual journey, then, is to become increasingly aware of God’s Spirit within us.
As our awareness grows, we begin to realize that the attributes of God, Faith, Strength, Dominion, Life, etc., are already whole and complete within us, because the “Spirit of God dwells in each of us.” We don’t need to pray for faith, because we already have all the Faith there is to have. We just need to become aware of the Spirit of God within us and open to the realization that perfect Faith is already available for us to use and live.
The same is true of Life. We don’t just have life, we are Life! We already are the animating, invigorating, vitalizing power of God. We already are all the Life of God that there is to be and have. We just need to open our awareness to its existence already within us. It’s a simple process, but might not be easy if we are constantly focused on how tired we feel or how the challenges of life are just too much to tolerate.
The good news is that we can redirect our thoughts and feelings away from the trials of life to the joy of the Gift of Life! Join us this Sunday, either in person or online, as we explore the ways we can live from the Life of God!
