Dear Friends,
We have entered the second week of our August affirmation, “In each
moment, miracles are taking place in my body.” In his book, “Christian
Healing,” Charles Fillmore tells us that specific affirmative statements are
not needed, as long as the general trend of the mind, the sum total of
thought in all its aspects of positivity and gratitude, will fix and crystallize
thoughts into forms.
While pondering this idea on our lanai Monday morning, I watched the tall,
cumulus clouds make slow and steady progress northward. The shadow of
rain fell from the clouds, falling into the Gulf. As I gazed, with no particular
thought, except how grateful I felt, a sudden shaft of prismatic color
appeared from the cloud, descending to the earth. Not a rainbow, per se,
because it appeared as a column. But that column definitely held all the
colors. “What a blessing,” I thought. I watched for another few seconds until
the colors faded.
Still in the openness of gratitude for the lanai, the clouds, the offshore rain,
the colors and my life, another column of prismatic light appeared inside
the cloud! I couldn’t help but wonder if Spirit was asking me, “Do you see
it? Do you feel the blessing? How about now? I’m going to keep showing
you until you get it!” Twice blessed!
