There are moments in life that stop us in our tracks—a radiant sunset, the hush of early morning, the quiet majesty of a star-filled sky. These moments of awe do more than inspire us; they gently return us to the awareness of something greater than ourselves. In Unity teachings, we understand this as reconnecting with the Divine Presence that lives within and all around us.
Scripture reminds us, “Be still, and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10). Awe invites us into that stillness. It quiets the busy mind and opens the heart, allowing us to experience healing on a deep spiritual level. In these sacred pauses, we remember our oneness with God, and the worries that once felt heavy begin to loosen their grip.
Unity co-founder Charles Fillmore taught that divine life is ever-present, always seeking expression through us. Awe becomes a doorway through which we perceive that life more clearly. When we allow ourselves to be fully present to beauty, wonder, and mystery, we align with the healing flow of Spirit.
This week, consider making space for awe. Step outside, notice the small miracles, or sit in quiet gratitude. As you do, you may find that healing is not something you must strive for—it is something you awaken to, already alive within you.
Let awe be your teacher, your prayer, and your path back to wholeness.
I look forward to being with you on Sunday, whether in person or on Zoom. It’s always better when you are with us!
Blessings and Love,
Rev Donna
