Our Light of Being

Our Light of Being

“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” – Psalm 27:1

Each of us carries within a radiant light—the divine spark of God expressing as our very being. This light is not something we must earn or achieve; it is the essence of who we are. Psalm 27:1 reminds us that God as light is ever-present, guiding us, strengthening us, and casting out fear.

When we face challenges, it is easy to forget this truth and believe that darkness or uncertainty has more power. Yet when we return to the awareness that God’s light shines through us, we reconnect with courage, peace, and assurance. Unity teaches that we are not separate from this light but are living expressions of it. As Jesus affirmed, “You are the light of the world.”

To live from our light of being means to let love shine in our words, kindness flow through our actions, and faith anchor our thoughts. It means trusting that no matter the outer circumstances, the inner radiance of Spirit cannot be dimmed.

This weekend, I hope you will consider joining us whether in person or on Zoom because it’s always better when you are present! You are truly the gift!

Many blessings and much love,

Rev. Donna
